Learn more at https://www.jnj.com/innovative-medicine **We are searching for the best talent for [Innovative Medicine] Senior Director, IBD Division.** **Position Purpose:** + Develop and implement the business strategy for Immunology portfolio, with both short-term and long-term business objectives + Oversee and lead all marketing and sales plans to achieve the business objectives within policies and guidelines as well as Business Unit budget + Deliver the agreed forecast budget and business plan – top and bottom-line metrics – full P&L responsibility + Inspire and lead the commercial team to deliver outcomes and maximize their potential **You will be responsible for** **:** + Lead marketing and sales activities to ensure that short- and long-range sales volumes and projects are achieved + Develop and implement short- and long-range sales and marketing plans + Oversees the development of sales and marketing processes + Manage and build strong partnership with co-promotion partner companies + Formulate marketing objectives, policies, sales organization structure, sales and marketing plans to achieve maximum sales and profit + Provide input for the development of products which anticipates and serves customer needs + Identify new markets and applications to assure volume growth + Inspire and motivate organization and demonstrate inclusive and Credo-based leadership + Be a coach, mentor and appraise subordinates and others’ performance and development **Key Working Relationships:** Internal + Vice President, IPN Business Unit and other IPN Leadership Team members + President, Innovative Medicine Japan + Other Business Unit Leaders in Japan + Other commercial organizations in Japan (e.g., Commercial Excellence, Medical Affairs, Integrated Market Access Team) + Functional leaders, including, but not limited to, R&D, Finance, HR and Supply Chain + Regional and Global leaders in Immunology External + Relevant HCP groups/customers + Key Opinion Leaders + Government Officials + Patient & Advocacy Groups **Key Competencies:** **Credo-based leadership** Demonstrates integrity, inspires trust and avoids conflicts of interest in developing and supporting projects, partnerships and collaborations. **Competitive Awareness** Knowledge of how to analyze competitors, conduct research of their activities, market niches, products, and services, and analyze own organization’s strengths and weaknesses to ensure ongoing competitive advantage. **Customer Focus** Demonstrates clear understanding of customer’s strategic business context and direction, anticipates needs and exceeds expectations **Innovation** Brings out the innovation and creativity in other people and contributes novel ideas that can transform the business. **Relationship Building / Management** Creates genuine partnerships, interacts confidently and employs astute perception with strong listening and questioning skills in complex or less familiar situations **Team Leadership** Enhances team’s effectiveness by taking ownership of team issues and goals. Ensures knowledge is continuously enhanced and is passed on to others. **Qualifications / Requirements:** **Preferred minimum education:** + Bachelor’s degree or equivalent + MBA or Master’s degree preferred **Preferred area of study:** + Business Administration and/or Life Sciences **Preferred related industry experience:** + Pharmaceuticals, Strategy Consulting **Knowledge and Experience:** + 10+ years related commercial experience + At least 5 years of marketing experience in pharma industry and people management experience + In depth knowledge of Japan healthcare environment and systems + Pharma sales experience is an advantage + Preferably experience in Immunology + Excellent track record in past positions
