Learn more at https://www.jnj.com/. This role is an integral part of the Tax Center for Japan which delivers tax support across all Johnson & Johnson Companies in Japan. The Tax Center is responsible for corporate tax compliance (both direct and indirect) and US tax legal entity (LE) reporting for all Johnson & Johnson legal entities in Japan. Dimensions + Reports to Tax Lead of Japan Tax Center + Work closely with Business Unit Finance (BUF)、 Local/Regional Global Services (GS) Finance, Business Support Center of Excellence (BS CoE), global/regional tax teams,etc. Main Responsibilities + Ensure timely filing and compliance with local tax regulations (corporate income tax, tax accounting, WHT, value added tax, , transfer pricing, etc.), US Tax Reporting, JNJ World-Wide Procedures, SOX Requirements and other regulatory policies (e.g., US GAAP and Local GAAP). + Support Tax Lead to Streamline & Optimize Tax Processes including Implementing local tax governance and controls. + Support Japan Tax Lead on Ad-hoc tax projects to ensure local tax compliance for all Johnson and Johnson legal entities in Japan, including SigniFi (CFIN, TranSCend, TransAct) projects. + Provide in-house tax advisory and guidance to various business partners (Finance Director, Global Services – Finance, Business Finance, Supply Chain, Business Leaders, etc) and external consultants + Manage ax audits in coordination with various business partners, stakeholders, regional/global tax teams and external consultants. Keep abreast of tax development and update current business process to ensure tax compliance. Close monitoring of Tax Reform Packages and ensuring new laws are properly and timely implemented. Integrates Johnson & Johnson’s Credo and Leadership Imperatives into goals and decision making Assignment and Planning of Work + Much of the work is providing advice and support to Johnson & Johnson legal entities in Japan, working within their timetables and both internal and external reporting deadlines. + There will be extra demands around the quarterly/ear-end reporting and tax return deadlines as well as US tax reporting deadlines. + The work can be of a non-routine nature with the timing of advisory projects governed by business needs; it is necessary to be agile to cope with these demands alongside other deadlines + Sufficient training courses should be attended each year in order to keep up to date with changing legislation’s developments. Other Working Relationships + Develop close working relationships with all partners (Finance Directors, local and regional finance organizations, etc.) + Collaborating with Global Tax colleagues around the world + Cooperate with other business teams across the region and worldwide as and when required, e.g., Legal, Supply Chain, Payroll, HR **Qualifications** + Tax/accountancy qualification with strong tax experience. (Certified Public Tax Accountant, Japanese CPA, US CPA, is a plus. Certified Tax Accountant as first.) + A minimum of 8-10 years of tax/accounting experience, tax experience in a multinational corporation and/or in an international tax firm. + Ability to take on challenges and work under pressure + Ability to manage tax projects with multiple stakeholders and resolve conflicts to achieve optimal results + Proactive individuals with strong leadership, influence and collaboration skills with ability to partner at all levels. + Ability to convey complex issues to all levels of non-tax colleagues and make practical recommendations + Strong communication skills in both Japanese and English + Independent and good collaborative and teamwork skills with some project management skills. **Required Skills:** Finance, Tax Policy, Tax Regulations, Tax Services **Preferred Skills:**
